“ Rented the party room at Freaky Wizard on Bellfarm Road in Barrie for my birthday! We did a Halloween/witch theme party in July and honestly it was such a blast. This is honestly our favourite place to go for coffee, treats, and to just totally nerd out with our people! You can go here and play board games and card games too while you enjoy a Harry Potter inspired specialty beverage! Please go and check them out! Every single detail is so perfectly crafted. “ Great drinks w great atmosphere!! Love their coffee drinks as well as their cocktails! Food wise, I'd recommend the sausage on a bun, delicious. Grilled cheese is nothing special I would skip that one. 5 each person to play games (so much variety) is definitely worth it. The atmosphere is so cool, definitely check it out if you are in Barrie. There are also wizard related items in the shop part, also second hand board games for cheap! ”
“ Brought a group of friends, most of whom hadn't been here yet. We have definite plans to come back! Looking forward to doing the escape room, and trying out several games! Mango drink was fabulous! Update 1, April 2023 we did the escape room! Loads of fun! Update 2, Jan 2024, niece's birthday, more new ppl, they all felt really comfortable there. Really can't say enough good things about the owners and the place. Update 3, Jan 2025, niece's birthday again, sadly this was the last party to be held here at Freaky Wizard, as they will be closing Feb 3rd. Our whole extended family is sad for the loss of this fun, quirky place, and look forward to hearing where they may be opening up again in the future. Best wishes, guys! Ya done good and we'll miss you. ”

Also the icecream they use is great quality, love ordering it with a slice of cake. Edit: they have a little library for book reading! So cool! And their grilled cheese with ham is my favourite ”

“ Visit September, 2021 to the Freaky Wizard. Wonderfully appointed / decorated and the defacto capitol of pop culture in Barrie. Cafe has a lovely selection of hot & cold drinks, treats and desserts. Great play area up front as well as a large party room. Excellent selection of games, action figures, vintage toys and much more. Something for every fan of Harry Potter, Star Wars, LotR and other pop culture fans. Reasonable prices. Great owners. ”
